My First Side Hustle Was Modeling
I began modeling at a young age to start making money on the side. I don’t come from a wealthy family – my mother was a housewife, and dad was struggling to make ends meet with his new business, which he started with a $100,000 loan!
So I needed to be resourceful and figure out ways to make money, while still staying on top of my grades in school.

But Then My Dad’s Business Got Sued for $90,000
My father started his business with a $100K loan and now he was struggling to make ends meet after being sued for 90% of that amount!
At the time, I was still in college and had not thought about becoming a lawyer yet. I quit modeling to help my father in navigating the legalities of this lawsuit.
It was a nightmare watching my family go through this massive lawsuit! However, it also showed me that I wanted to become a lawyer and assist other entrepreneurs in legally protecting their businesses.
Becoming a Business Lawyer
It was easy for me to become a lawyer because I had already spent ONE YEAR deciphering business legalities when my father was sued. Because I was determined to see my father win his lawsuit, I worked as a paralegal for free to put together a winning case.
I couldn’t bear the thought of any other small business owner going through the same anguish, agony, and financial loss that our family went through.
I knew I wanted to be a lawyer and help other business owners avoid such legal mistakes!
But I had no idea how much my legal and business knowledge would benefit others while also improving my professional and personal life.

The Idea for Starting My Online Business
As a business lawyer practicing for more than 10 years, I worked one-on-one with several bloggers and entrepreneurs, drafting their website legal policies such as Privacy policies, Disclaimers, and Terms and Conditions.
But I quickly realized that I could only help a few people per day with that. I knew there had to be a better, faster, and less expensive legal solution for their business needs.
So I came up with the idea of creating DIY legal templates that entrepreneurs could instantly download and use without having to pay exorbitant lawyer fees while still receiving lawyer-level protections. That’s when I decided to launch my online legal store and 20+ legal templates that entrepreneurs needed to protect their businesses.
This allowed me to help thousands of people at once, which I couldn’t do when working one-on-one. And my customers appreciated the fact that they could get professional legal documents from a lawyer immediately without having to pay hefty legal fees.
The Challenges of Starting a Business
Coming up with the idea of starting a blogging business was only half of the battle! I had NO technical experience, and this was my first time starting an online business, so I had to spend a lot of time and money on valuable courses, resources, and tools to help me learn things quickly.
Blogging is an excellent way to share your passion and opinions with others. It also gives you the opportunity to earn money from it. However, setting up a business for blogging can be a challenge in itself. For example, you need to constantly write quality blog posts to earn the respect of your readership, as well as other bloggers.
Blogging can easily become an all-consuming activity, particularly when you first start out. You need to determine how much time you can give your business so that it doesn’t consume every waking hour. Once you get your blog up and running, you may be surprised at how time-consuming it can get.
In my first year of business, I worked 16 hour days. Working 14-hour days on top of my full-time job to run the business was so exhausting that I wanted to give up and return to my regular 9-to-5 lawyer job. But then I remembered “why” I started this business in the first place, and why I couldn’t give up in the face of challenges and hardships.
True Life Purpose: My Blogging Business Journey
Hooray for hard work! I made $3700 from my blog in less than two months. From there, the money just kept coming and things started getting better than ever before (while I continued working full-time as a lawyer).
Blogging really is a great way to build your brand – you can choose how much effort it takes each day depending on what works best for YOU…
You can choose how much effort you want to put into it–some weeks will be slow while other weeks will be busy depending on how much content you have to create.
In my fourth month of blogging, I hit a milestone: $10,000 in profit. Two months later, I made $20,000 in a single month, and this was only the beginning! Other bloggers began contacting me for blog coaching because they wanted to know how I made money online so quickly.
Now a Seven-Figure Blogger
I cried with joy and excitement when I finally made $60,000 in a single month from my blog and a few months later, I made $78,000 a month! (with my full-time job as a lawyer). It was incredible, and this massive achievement allowed me to quit my 9 to 5 job and become a full-time blogger and coach!
